• Christmas Eve Worship Times

  • On Sunday, Dec. 24, Bethlehem Lutheran will offer six different worship opportunities:  10:30 a.m., Traditional Worship in Sanctuary; 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., Family-Friendly Service with Impromptu Nativity in  Fellowship Hall;  6:00, 8:00 and 10:30 p.m., Traditional Worship in Sanctuary. We hope you'll join us!

  • Join us for Bethlehem's first Posada service

  • Help us re-enact the story of Mary and Joseph's search for a place to stay to await Jesus' birth.  Our Lutheran brothers and sisters from St. Andrew in West Chicago are sharing a traditional Mexican Posada service with us on Dec. 20.

Community Events

  •   All are welcome to come to a simple, contemplative, candlelit service around the cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, in Fellowship Hall. It will be an opportunity to pause in the midst of this hectic season and to honor the many emotions we feel during this time of year. All people, of all ages, are welcome.  
  • Our Giving Tree is up in the Welcome Center, where you are invited to take a gift tag and instructions and return the gift by December 15.  Your generosity will benefit our neighbors served by the  Ecker Center for Mental Health, Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and Hesed House.
  • Sometimes we forget that Bethlehem is used by members and guests 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year for worship, preschool, community groups and special events. During the winter, it takes a team to keep our sidewalks clear and safe. Please click the link to be on call and help the Property Team with this important work.
  • Bethlehem’s music ensembles will lead a worship of song and scripture on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Join us for the annual musical festival featuring Bethlehem’s talented musicians!

  • You are invited to be part of Bethlehem's support of the homeless neighbors in our communities. There are many ways to serve in this important and rewarding outreach ministry - Just click the link to sign up to provide a food donation or work the overnight shift with Lazarus House staff.
