  • Bethlehem approves proposal to sell Marion Ave. land

  • In its annual meeting Jan. 28, the congregation authorized the Congregational Council to proceed with its proposal to sell  property south of Marion Avenue. Click on the map to read a  Council letter outlining the history of the parcels and the reasons the church has decided to offer them for sale.

  • You are invited to be part of Bethlehem's support of the homeless neighbors in our communities. There are many ways to serve in this important and rewarding outreach ministry - Just click the link to sign up to provide a food donation or work the overnight shift with Lazarus House staff.
  • The Property Development Team will be sharing its recommendations on renovation and expansion of the church facility in several upcoming discussions. Please join us at 9:15 or 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, in Education Hall, or at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, also in Education Hall. Child care will be provided.
  • Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40-day period of prayer, penitence, sober reflection, self-examination and spiritual redirection before Easter. At 1:30 and 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 14, we will gather around the Table to celebrate Holy Communion and mark the sign of the cross with ash on each other. Please join us in the Sanctuary.
  • Fat Tuesday is getting even fatter this year! The Youth will be serving pancakes and sausage from 5 to 7 p.m. on Shrove Tuesday to raise money for their attendance at the ELCA National Youth Gathering this summer.  Come fatten up before Ash Wednesday and support the youth with your freewill offering!
  • FMSC is hosting a HUGE event on Feb 17 and 18 at North Central College in Naperville where they're trying to pack 1.2 million meals in just two days. Bring your family, friends and neighbors to this all-hands-on-deck event -- click here for a signup form.  You'll have a great time and feed starving kids in the process.
  • Would you like to take Holy Communion to the home of a disciple who cannot get to church? We're holding another orientation session to show you how you can become a Home Communion visitor, keeping disciples closely connected to their church community during times of illness, rehabilitation or isolation.
