Older Adults Ministry

Older Adult Ministry consists of several ways to sustain active, meaningful engagement with and among older adults at Bethlehem whether in leadership, serving or homebound connection. To learn more, or to get involved with Older Adult Ministry, please contact Lynne Helpler, 630.377.1857 or Kelly Collins at kelly@bethlehemluth.org.

Senior Advisory Team meets several times a year over lunch for lively discussion, planning of educational forums, service and fellowship opportunities geared towards older adults. Special Forums and presentations related to caregiving, aging and technology have been especially popular.

Community Connection Mailings provide older adults who cannot get to worship or may be homebound with a monthly packet of photos, a printed Pastor’s sermon, and a personal note about current happenings in the life of the Bethlehem community.

Maundy Thursday Senior Luncheon is an annual tradition at Bethlehem that honors our older adults and friends in the community. A delicious catered luncheon, a hymn sign and Maundy Thursday worship make for treasured connection and fellowship during Holy Week.
