CASA Kane County Information Session – November 9

Enjoy working with children and youth?  Want to make a difference in the life of a child who has been abused and neglected?  CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Kane County is a nonprofit organization providing support and advocacy for children who have been the victims of abuse and/or neglect.

CASA Kane County and Bethlehem are sponsoring an information session from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, at the Kane County Courthouse in Geneva for those who would like to learn more about CASA. This is a powerful way to live as disciples, speaking for and standing up for vulnerable children in our community. Whether you are interested in volunteering, or would just like to learn more about this special agency, join us!

Questions?  Contact current CASA volunteers and Bethlehem members, Craig Collins (630.442.9203) or Bill/Sandy Leitsch or Barb/Bill Herman.

Please sign up below if you can attend the information session.

Fifth Grade Stepping Stone: Family Values Workshop

This workshop will highlight what it means to be part of the family of God and how our own families carry on traditions, teachings and blessings.  The cost is $10 per child for materials, but scholarships are available.

Please bring these additional items for the workshop:

  1. Pictures of your family including grandparent(s) or great grandparent(s) to make a framed 12” x 12” scrapbook page (4 to 6 pictures). If you have scrapbook tools including: paper trimmer, punches, etc. to help complete the project, please bring them. We will provide paper, adhesive, some punches and a few paper trimmers.
  2. An unmarked baby picture of yourself and of your child – for a game we will play that night
  3. Anything about your child’s and your own baptism
  4. Something unique, but related, to each of your generation’s entertainment technology: for example, a deck of cards and a PSP.
