Join the Family Fellowship’s 14th Annual Egg-stravaganza Egg Hunt & Reception on Sunday, March 25, at 9:45 a.m., after Sunday School (which is at a special time from 8:45-9:45 a.m.). We will hunt for eggs outside in the backyard (weather-permitting) or inside Education Hall in the case of bad weather, and then come inside for donuts, fruit, and juice.

Maundy Thursday Luncheon
Mar. 29 at Noon

This special event honors older adults in our congregation and community with a catered luncheon and afternoon worship service. A planning team is forming to plan the menu, decorate for the event and ensure transportation for those who need it. Families and teens are especially welcome to be a part of this special day. If you would like to help, or know more, please contact kelly@bethlehemluth.org.

Easter Breakfast

This year’s Easter Breakfast will be on Sunday, April 1 from 7:30-11:00 am in Education Hall. The breakfast menu will be pancakes, bacon and eggs. The congregation is invited to provide fresh, cut fruit and danishes to add to the menu – talk with Bobbi if you are interested in helping, bobbi@bethlehemluth.org.

The free-will offering will go to the Youth Ministries. Bring your family and invite some friends to stop by for breakfast!

4th and 5th Graders are invited to attend their annual milestone workshops on March 9 from 6-9pm. Fourth graders will be exploring the Bible and fifth graders will be a part of our Family Values Workshop.

4th Floor Open House
Sunday, Mar. 18

Bethlehem recently moved rooms around to allow our youth to have a larger space to gather, along with renovating the balcony/choir loft to accommodate more flexibility for use of instrumentation and setup. After each worship service on Sunday, March 18 we are inviting lambs to come to the 4th floor and get a firsthand look at the upgraded spaces. Leaders or group members from the youth or choirs will be available to answer questions and point things out in each of renovated spaces. There will be light refreshments in the choir rehearsal room in between each of the spaces.

Fox River Initiative Gathering
Sunday, Mar 11, 4:00-5:15pm

What is going on in our world with these school shootings? What can I do? Join 1000+ concerned citizens to hear ALL 10 Illinois Attorney General candidates (both Republicans and Democrats). This gathering will be covering:

• Gun violence (“smart guns” development? sales to “crime-gun dealers”?)
• Jailing of innocent people experiencing addiction/mental health issues
• Humane/legal treatment of immigrants and refugees
• Building affordable/accessible housing

Transportation will be coordinated by your Mercy and Justice Ministry Team and is sponsored by the Fox River Valley Initiative.

Stockholders Fundraiser

The first three weekends in March the Youth will be seeking out Bethlehem disciples to “take out stock” in them for their upcoming trip to the National Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas this summer. Find their table in the Connection Café and ask them about their upcoming trip. All donation envelopes are due back by April 1.

Lenten Soup Suppers – 6-6:45pm
Soup and mac & cheese will be served each Wed, beginning Feb 21 in Fellowship Hall
Lent Worship – 7:15 pm
Worship will follow the suppers in the Sanctuary
Weekly Lenten Devotions
Each week, Pastor Bill and Pastor Sarah will focus on a different “faith word.” We’ll wrestle with the meaning of these words and reflect on what these words have to do with our lives today.

We Need Voices!
Our Senior Choir will be performing a masterwork in worship on Sunday, April 29 at 8:00am and 10:30am. While this event is a long way down the road, we are starting to rehearse this piece on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm until the April performance date. Contact Josh McClure at josh@bethlehemluth.org for more information.
