How to Connect

A familiar phrase we hear around Bethlehem is “There is a lot going on!” And, it’s true. There always seems to be a lot going on in our church community. Children’s programs, ministry functions, fun events, classes, special worship, outreach projects, service trips, etc. There is never really a “down” time. With so much going on, there is always something to get involved in. No matter where you are on your faith journey, or what your previous church experience has been, there is a place for you to be involved.

How to Begin?

Information can be found in several places:

  • Our Sunday “Community Life” Bulletin. Weekly Emails. Facebook Page.
  • Website. Monthly “Messenger” Newsletter.
  • Posters, displays and printed materials around church.

Yes, information is everywhere! Along with opportunities to sign up, register, join in, reach out, connect with others or learn something new. However, it is easy to experience “too much information” and feel a bit overwhelmed.
Whether you are new to Bethlehem or have been around for a while, consider these steps to “getting involved”:
We are eager to have you join us. We are eager to know you!

 Get involved “at church”.

Sing with our adult choir. Welcome others to worship.  Lend a hand in the office.  Join our property team. Bake dessert for a funeral luncheon.

Get involved with “others

Join our prayer network team. Try an adult small group study. Volunteer with Vacation Bible School.  Give someone a ride to doctor visit. Attend a BBQ or social event. Assist in a Sunday School classroom.

Get involved with “our community”.

Bring donated canned goods to Salvation Army. Help serve dinner at Hesed House. Fill a backpack with school supplies for foster kids. Join a quilt-making session. Donate items for tornado victims.

There are many ways to get involved at Bethlehem. For more information, or for help in finding a place to serve, learn or belong, please contact Kelly Collins, Director of Care and Connection, or one of our pastors. We are eager to help!
