Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our mission is to INVITE all people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, NURTURE each other's faith, and GO into the world to live for God.
Bethlehem's Youth & Family Ministries
Adventure Club is a FREE program that is open to all
children in and around the St. Charles community. It helps
young children understand Bible stories, prayer, and
community servcie. The program reaches children in
kindergarten through 5th grade and takes place at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Wednesday afternoons from
September through April.
This ministry guides young people in grades six through twelve to grow together in faith through weekly Bible studies, summer trips, service projects, weekend retreats and Christ-centered relationships with peers and caring adults.
Our middle school ministry
is centered on Confirmation, which meets weekly
on Wednesday nights and has a fun event or retreats
throughout the year. Our high school students meet weekly
in small groups, on Sunday mornings at Café Bethlehem, and
participate in other mission and fellowship
gatherings. Each summer our youth participate in a
week-long mission adventure.
This ministry provides an opportunity for community among members, visitors and friends of Bethlehem. It also plans special events for families to enjoy together, especially families with young children.
Groups within this ministry include Progressive Dinner, Men's Ministry Events, Friendship Tables (small dinner groups), Seder Meal (traditional Holy Week meal), Softball, Basketball, Bowling, Family Ministry Events, Church Receptions, and Social Gatherings.
The Preschool Ministry Team works with the Director of the Bethlehem Preschool and Daycare Center to ensure support for this important outreach ministry. Bethlehem has supported this ministry since 1968 Bethlehem, providing quality childcare and preschool programs to the children of the Fox Valley. We are proud to have been accredited by the National Academy for the Education of Young Children in 1999. Last year we went through the re-accreditation process and earned accreditation through April of 2010.
