CROP Walk
Sunday, October 15, 2006, 2:00 p.m.

- We serve at Lazarus House on October 14.
- We serve at Hesed House on October 27-28.

November

Lutheran Thanksgiving Food Drive
Saturday, November 18, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

World Hunger Appeal
Our Thanksgiving Offering at the Thanksgiving Service benefits the World Hunger Appeal through the ELCA.

- Blood Drive will be held at Rejoice Lutheran Church, Geneva in November.
- We serve at Lazarus House on November 11.

December

Christmas Sharing and The Giving Tree
We receive a special Christmas offering and setup a "Giving Tree" each year for those in need.    

Bethel Lutheran Church Christmas Sharing
In partnership with Bethel Lutheran Church our members will contribute food and Christmas gifts to those in need.

- We serve at Lazarus House on December 9.
- Blood Drive will be held at Bethlehem in December.
- We serve at Hesed House on December 22-23.

January 2007

- We serve at Lazarus House on January 13.

February

- We serve at Lazarus House on February 10.
- We serve at Hesed House on February 23-24.

March

The Shelter Assistance Fund
The Shelter Assistance Fund will be the recipient for the Special Lenten Offering beginning with Ash Wednesday, Feb. 21st. The Shelter Assistance Fund helps local families with temporary rent or mortgage payments in order to avoid eviction. 

- Blood Drive will be at Hosanna! Lutheran Church in March.
- We serve at Lazarus House on March 10.

April

We sponsor April Foods’ Day on April 1, to benefit the Tri-City Food Pantry at the Salvation Army.

- We serve at Lazarus House on April.14.
- We serve at Hesed House on April 27-28.

May

Lutheran World Relief Blankets for Mothers’ Day will be dedicated on May 13. Disciples are encouraged to contribute $5.00 towards the purchase of a blanket that will be sent through Lutheran World Relief for Disaster Relief.

- Blood  Drive will be held at Rejoice Lutheran in May.
- We serve at Lazarus House May 12.

June

Habitat for Humanity Fathers’ Day Gifts will be dedicated on June 17.

- We serve at Lazarus House on June 9.
- We serve Hesed House on June 22–23.

July

- Blood Bank will be at Bethlehem in July.
- We serve at Lazarus House on July 14.

August

School Supplies and Clothing Giveaway will be held at
Hosanna.  Date to be announced

Brat Fest and Ice Cream Social
Benefits our work with Habitat for Humanity. August 26, 10:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

- We serve at Lazarus House on August 11.
- We serve Hesed House on August 24-25.

September

- Blood Drive will be held at Hosanna! Lutheran Church in September.
- We serve at Lazarus House on September 8.

October

CROP Walk for World Hunger benefits people locally and throughout the world. The 2007 CROP Walk will be held on October 21.

- We serve at Lazarus House on October 13.
- We serve at Hesed House on October 26-27.

November

Thanksgiving Food Drive will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007. Bethlehem members and friends will staff the collection at the Blue Goose Supermarket.

- Blood Drive will be held at Rejoice in November.
- We serve at Lazarus House on November 10.

December

Bethel Christmas Sharing is coordinated with Bethel New Life Center, Garfield Park, Chicago, as a way of providing holiday food and gifts for needy, urban families in the Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago.

- We serve at Hesed House on December 28-29.
- Blood Drive will be held at Bethlehem in December.
