Heather Feltman

Heather joined the Bethlehem staff on December 1, 2016 and brings with her a wealth of professional leadership and operational experience.

She and her husband, the Rev. Ron Feltman, moved from Boston to Chicago in 2012 for Ron to accept a call at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, IL – Ron serves as Senior Pastor at Epiphany. Heather and Ron were also excited to learn that their son Seth, a graduate of Capital University, Columbus, OH, accepted a job in Chicago in 2012. After being spread across the Eastern part of the US for several years, all returned to Chicago that year!

Heather earned degrees at Illinois State University, Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, and Regis University.  She was consecrated as an ELCA Diaconal Minister in 1999 and has served the church through positions at:  Lutheran Family Services of the Carolinas, Lutheran Disaster Response, Lutheran Social Services of New England, and the South Carolina State Council of Churches.

Heather is passionate about discovering how, as Christians, we go about living our faith in daily life – where do we see God in a Monday morning staff meeting?  In the carpool lane as we drop and pick up our children from school?  How are we God’s hands, feet, and voice throughout the week? She looks forward to bringing her business knowledge and passions to this position at Bethlehem, and would enjoy having you stop by to introduce yourself – she has a goal that by the end of her first six months, she will have learned 100 names!  So please help her in achieving her goal by introducing yourselves!

In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband traveling, especially to our national parks, attending concerts (she loves all types of music) and reading, she always has a stack of books she is working her way through.  She has a deep appreciation for any independent bookstore.

You can email Heather at Heather@bethlehemluth.org or call her at (630) 584-2199 x222.
