My family (wife Lucinda and children Cameron and Dee) joined Bethlehem in 1991.  We have enjoyed each of our “chapters” as active church members…starting with Wednesday Night Live table parents and  including confirmation mentors, drama participants, readers, committee members and many trips with the youth group as chaperones.  Much of our service at Bethlehem has been around music.  Lucinda was Sylvia’s accompanist for many years while I sang in Senior Choir. The kids sang in the choirs and the musicals as we “augmented the sound from the background.”  We helped to start the contemporary service with Pastor Ken and Marge Ahlstrand and have enjoyed our time there ever since.

I grew up in New York and came to Chicago for medical school. ( I told my mother I’d be back in 4 years.  Oops).  I have been an emergency room physician for 30 years and work at different hospitals around the area.   Lucinda went to St. Olaf and has been a nurse.  She is currently working as a horse trainer at Grand Prix Equestrian in Maple Park.  She has an amazing way with animals and participates in horse shows every summer.  Our son, Cameron, is a doctor (Urologist at DuPage Medical Group) and our daughter is a teacher in Elmhurst. We are blessed to have them both nearby.
