April 3, 2016. Today, in our scripture readings, we hear two testimonies of faith. The psalmist declares to God “You are my God” and Thomas, in the gospel lesson, tells Jesus, “you are my Lord and my God.”  As we reflect upon their testimonies, think about how these proclamations of faith led the psalmist and Thomas into action. Because they believed, how did their faith influence the way that they lived? Ultimately, just like the psalmist and Thomas, our faith, our declaration of what we believe, our “creed,” if it’s genuine, will lead us into a way of life. Let us think about how we  will connect our beliefs to our actions. How will we finish this sentence…”You are my God and I will…” Download a transcript of this sermon.
