Funeral Luncheons

After consultation with the family, Bethlehem volunteers provide side dishes and salads for a community meal after a funeral service. These home cooked meals provide a little comfort on a day often filled with sorrow and provide a little community time for friends and family to remember their loved one. Volunteer to drop off a side dish or salad by completing the volunteer form.

Golden Diner Program (Port-a-lunch)

On Fridays Bethlehem disciples deliver meals to seniors and housebound persons in St. Charles and Geneva through the Salvation Army Golden Diner program.  There is always a need for help in delivering meals.

Maundy Thursday Luncheon

“Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday, Covenant Thursday, Great and Holy Thursday, Sheer Thursday, and Thursday of Mysteries) is the Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter. It commemorates the Maundy and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles as described in the Canonical gospels.” -Wikipedia

The Maundy Thursday is luncheon is a way to honor our more senior disciples and guests from the local community. A home cooked meal is lovingly prepared and served by Bethlehem volunteers. The day consists of fellowship, hymns, and a service in the sanctuary.

Soup Troop

This ministry nourishes those who are going through an illness or difficult time in their life with comforting homemade soup.

Wednesday Night Dinners (WND)

Wednesday nights are hopping at Bethlehem! Choir practice, bells practice, Adventure club, meetings, etc!
WND provides families and guests to stay at church, develop community and just be together outside the normal Saturday and Sunday services.

We are always looking for volunteers that can help prepare shop for food, or help prepare and serve the food. You can volunteer to help for just one night or for the whole season! To volunteer for WND, click here to complete the volunteer form.
