Middle School

Middle School Dodgeball tournament October 26

7:00-10:00 p.m. 
All 7th and 8th graders are invited to join us for a night of  dodgeball ruckus.  Bring your friends to form your team or just show up and we’ll put you on a team.  Wear athletic clothes and shoes.  We’ll have snacks and Gatorade for the athletes.  Prizes will be awarded for winning teams, highly spirited teams, and creatively “uniformed” teams.  We will have a boys division and a girls division. 

Middle School Lock-In November 30

Attention 7th and 8th graders- you do not want to miss this lock in.  It’s going to be an all nighter filled with great food, games, movies, video games, a cool prayer exercise, and a huge surprise.  The cost for this night is $10, but you can bring one friend from outside the church for free!!!  Signup on the youth ministry bulletin board or at church.

The God’s Aren’t Angry Tour - Rob Bell November 5

Rob Bell is one of the most profound communicators of our time.  Many of you have experienced Rob through the Nooma video series that we’ve watch on retreats and at AXIS nights.  Rob Bell is coming to Chicago in person to give a brand new talk called The God’s Aren’t Angry. 

The cost for this event is $10.  We will meet at church at 6:00 p.m. to travel to the Vick Theatre in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood of Chicago.  Rob Bell goes on at 7:30, so it will be a late night getting home.  I know these times are not the greatest scheduling for those with homework and sports schedules, but our high school students told me Rob Bell was worth it. 
There are limited tickets for this event, so be sure to sign up on the Youth Ministry Bulletin board. 

AXIS Leadership Team

Our AXIS student leadership team will gather for Lunch on October 14th at 11:45.  If you may be interested in this team, please talk to Andy or one of our AXIS adults to sign up.
