Easter Baskets for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois

Help us to create 100 Easter Baskets to be given to children served by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. The goal is to have 50 baskets for children ages 0-4 and 50 baskets for children ages 5-8. Please take a tag off our Easter tree and fill the baskets with small clothing items, candy, books or toys.  Cover the basket with a basket bag and return it to the table in the Welcome Center.
In addition to the Easter baskets, we will be collecting gift cards to local restaurants. When a child(ren) has been removed from their home, LSSI sometimes does not have an immediate foster family placement for them—hence, they end up staying for a short time at LSSI offices. The gift cards will be used to allow LSSI staff to purchase meals for these children.  These can be in any amount and to locations such as Panera, Chipotle, Potbelly, Visa, or Mastercard, etc. Gift cards can be placed in Deacon Heather’s mailbox.
