From the tomb, resurrection comes…

Holy week is the week where we go to the heart of things. Jesus takes us to the heart of love, washing feet and feeding his betrayer. Jesus takes us to the heart of brokenness and vulnerability, dying on a cross. Jesus takes us to the heart of God and the source of our hope, the promise that life will rise from death. We hope you will join us for worship as we journey together through these holiest of days.

Palm Sunday

April 10 / 8:30am* and 10:45am

Our services will include a procession of palms as we recall Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

Maundy Thursday

April 14 / 12:30pm and 6:30pm*

Our Maundy Thursday services will involve foot washing (optional) and communing at Christ’s table. Our third graders will celebrate first communion at the evening service.

Good Friday

April 15 / 11:00am (family-friendly) and 7:00pm* (traditional)

The 11:00am service is meant for children and families; we will walk through the last days of Jesus’ life in a more interactive way. The 7:00pm service will be a contemplative Tenebrae service where we listen to and pray over Jesus’ final words.

Holy Saturday

Easter Sunday / April 17

6:15am (outdoors at Union Cemetery)

8:30* and 10:45am (sanctuary)

Christ is risen! Alleluia! Join us for festive music, a hope-filled message, and celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Light refreshments will be served in the Welcome Center in-between the sanctuary services. All are welcome!

Special Opportunity for Children:

Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 3 / 9:45-10:30am

For many years, BLC has celebrated Easter with the Easter Eggstravaganza. This year, it will be included as part of Sunday School. Children of all ages are invited to come and bring a friend! We will be hunting eggs in the backyard, then celebrating with crafts and cookie decorating. We appreciate donations of nut-free candy in a box in the Sunday School on the first floor by March 31. Please bring a basket to collect the eggs!
