Our Invitation to You

Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here.

Whether new to Christianity, new to the Lutheran faith, a long-time believer going deeper in understanding, or someone that’s hungering to belong to community, we trust you will find others here to journey with you as a disciple of Christ!

How to Join the Bethlehem Family

Our New Member classes are held two times a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Each class includes three sessions, led by Pastor Sarah and various lay leaders. In these classes, we’ll review the basics of Lutheran identity and belief, we’ll share how we live out our faith through mission and ministry at Bethlehem, and we’ll begin getting to know each other better. This class is open to all who have decided to join, and to those who are still trying to decide.

Our Spring Newcomers Classes will be held Thursday evenings on Feb. 25 and Mar. 4 from 7:30-8:45pm via Zoom. Once you call and sign up, the Zoom Meeting information will be given to you to join on the designated dates and times.

Pastor Sarah, along with Pastor Paisley and Deacon Heather, will be convening a virtual New Member Class on Feb. 25 and Mar. 4 for those who would like to explore what it means to become a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. This class will be interactive and conversational and will explore how our Lutheran theology gets lived out – in how we read the Bible, in how we worship, in how we get to interpret and examine the way we live our lives and make decisions. Even during this time of COVID!

In this class you’ll learn more about the ministry of Bethlehem and how you can become part of our vision “Shaped by our faith in Christ, we will go, love and serve the world!”

Please email Pastor Sarah at pastor_sarah@bethlehemluth.org to alert her to your interest!!

Normally, once these classes are completed, all participants are invited to be received into discipleship at Bethlehem during a worship service. This service is planned in advance, so that most people can arrange their schedules to participate as a group. After the service, we invite the congregation to informally meet and greet those who are joining our church family. However, due to Covid restrictions, there will be a time of recognition of new members during our virtual service as we are currently not meeting on site for worship.

Please print this form, fill it out, and return it to the church. Thank you!

We are delighted that you are considering making Bethlehem your home church.  We look forward to celebrating your spiritual growth in our community.

Welcome to Bethlehem!
