Backpacks for LSSI
Through Sunday, July 28

For the months of June and July Bethlehem is excited to offer some neighborly love to students in LSSI’s foster care program through a BLC Backpack Drive! The need is great this year! LSSI staff alerted us they need to provide 180 backpacks filled with school supplies to help students begin a new school year! Gift cards, in increments of $25, from businesses such as Meijer, Walmart, and Target will also be collected for the high school students—30 of the 180 backpacks will be for high schoolers!

Please consider helping in three different ways:

  1. Pick up a backpack in worship (available Sunday, June 23) and fill it with its attached list of school supplies.
  2. Purchase gift cards in increments of $25 to help high school age foster children—please place these in Deacon Heather’s mail box or office.
  3. Make a monetary donation to help with the cost of the backpacks by clicking here or feel free to provide cash or a check in an envelope noting your gift is for “LSSI Backpack Drive.”

If you pick up a backpack or a tag, please bring it back to church no later than Sunday, July 28 so it can be blessed in worship that day. LSSI will pick up all the backpacks early that week. For any questions, please contact Lori Linkimer.
