November 17, 2019 The journey has been long. Forcibly removed from their homeland of Jerusalem, driven to live in exile in Babylon for nearly seventy years, the people of Judah are now, at long last, beginning their return home. They have such hope. However, upon their return, the people contend with ravaged communities, vacated homes, vines clinging to the walls and collapsed roofs. Their homes, their infrastructure and their faith community are in tatters. Everything must be rebuilt.
